About Me
I'm an experienced reporter who has worked a wide range of beats.
I began at the High Point Enterprise, a daily newspaper with a circulation between 16,000 to 19,000 subscribers, in May 2011. I covered Davidson and Randolph Counties including education, safety, crime, local and county government. I've also covered the Crime and Courts beat for the High Point area.
In May 2014, I began working for the African-American community newspaper The Chronicle, located in Winston-Salem, N.C. The weekly newspaper is published to roughly 10,000 people, in both subsribers and rack sales.
Between the two publications I have written features on athletes, actresses, comedians, authors and prominent community figures.
I have also written general assignment stories that focus on community events and social issues. I have worked with the company's website and social media.
I am a 2011 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University wth a bachelors of science in Journalism and Mass Communications in Print Journalism. My favorite thing about being a reporter is meeting new people, learning about their life experiences and giving the people information they need and want to know.
